Getting started
One place to collect the photos and videos your guests take. Guests scan the QR code on the table card and upload straight from their browser — no app, no account. Everything appears on the big screen seconds later and stays collected in one place afterwards.
Sign up with your email address. A free stream to try things out is ready straight away. Give it a name and an upload name in the settings, print the table card — done. You can add a package at any time, even later for the same stream.
No. The QR code opens the upload page in the phone's browser. The page appears in the language of the table card — more than 20 languages are available, including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Indonesian and Hindi.
On your stream's page under “Table card & QR code”. You can download the card as a print template there and design it with your own photos. The QR code leads to the upload page; if you like, it includes the guest password so guests don't have to type it.
Only if you set one. With a guest password, nobody who happens to come across the code gets onto the page. You'll find it in your stream's settings.
No. Switches and drop-downs save themselves, text fields as soon as you leave them or the page. At the bottom of the page you can see whether everything is saved.
For your guests
Scan the QR code, tap “Choose files”, done. Up to 20 files at once, each up to 512 MB. Guests who like can add their name — it then appears under their pictures.
Photos in all common phone formats, including JPEG, HEIC, PNG and WebP. Videos in MP4, MOV, WebM and more — whether videos are included in your package is shown on the pricing page. We convert everything into space-saving web formats; pictures are automatically turned the right way up based on their capture data.
Yes, if your package includes the guest gallery. Guests then see every photo under “Join the celebration”, can view them full screen, run them as a slideshow, react with emoji and comment. Without the gallery, only you and the big screen see the pictures.
Yes. “My photos” shows only their own uploads, and they can delete any of them. With “Find my photos” they use a selfie to find every picture they appear in.
Under “Join the celebration”, with the “Start slideshow” button right above the photos. It runs at the pace you set for the big screen and shows exactly what is filtered at the moment — only one person's photos, for example.
While you're signed in, the upload page hides the guest part so you don't see everything twice. “See it as your guests do” on your stream's page opens it exactly the way a guest sees it.
Any number can watch. Only the devices that upload within 24 hours are counted — how many that may be depends on your package. The limit applies per day, not to the whole celebration.
Livestream & big screen
On your stream's page with “Start livestream”. Open it on the laptop connected to the projector or TV. New photos appear by themselves; nobody has to reload the page.
Usually a few seconds. Each picture is optimised once after upload and then added automatically.
Random, oldest or newest first, a presentation in a fixed order, and collages showing several pictures at once. Plus crossfade, slide and zoom, with display time and pace as you like. You set all of it in the stream settings.
F for full screen, space to pause, arrow keys to browse, B for the background, 1 to 4 for the order: random, oldest first, newest first, presentation.
Balloons, hearts, confetti and fireworks drifting across the screen — on a schedule, one at a time or all together. Plus small emoji whenever a new photo or comment arrives. “Demo” shows you each effect beforehand.
Yes, if you allow it. Greetings appear in a corner of the screen that you choose.
For new pictures, yes. Whatever has already been shown sits in the browser's cache and keeps running through a short interruption.
A current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
Managing photos
On your stream's page under “Photos & videos”. There you can hide pictures, move them, delete them, or take them out of the slideshow only without removing them from the album.
Yes, with moderation. New pictures then wait until they're approved. You can approve them yourself — or send a best man or maid of honour a moderation link for their phone. It lets them approve and reject, nothing else.
Yes. Every guest gets their own number with their first upload. In the guest list — or straight from one of their photos — you block them from further uploads. Their earlier pictures stay until you delete them yourself, and the block can be lifted again.
Pictures are turned automatically based on their capture data. If one is still wrong, that data is missing from the file. Hide or delete it and upload it again the right way round.
The stream then accepts no new uploads. You can delete pictures, move to a bigger package or add extra storage — all via “Upgrade stream”.
Yes, in the settings. The text is burned into the bottom-right corner of every photo uploaded afterwards — on the big screen, in the gallery and in downloads. The original files stay untouched.
In the time zone of the venue, which you choose in the settings — not the viewer's. That matters for celebrations abroad followed by guests at home.
Join-in features
Small tasks for your guests, such as “Find someone wearing blue shoes”. You can create up to twelve — your own or from 60 suggestions in eight languages; guests pick one when uploading, and you see how many photos each challenge has received.
Guests record a spoken greeting or a short video greeting with their phone camera, right in the browser. After sending, it appears under “Recorded greetings” and can be played back. You switch each guest book on separately.
Guests sign with a finger on their phone, with a few words if they like — just like the guest book on the table.
After your explicit confirmation, our server goes through every photo and groups the faces into people. Under “Name the faces” you give them names; new photos are matched automatically. “Reset everything” removes all face data with one click.
An overview for your guests of every person recognised at the celebration. Tapping a person shows only their photos.
Yes, if you allow suggestions. If a face has no name yet, the first suggestion applies straight away and is visible to all guests. You can change any name at any time or hide a person.
After the celebration
On your stream's page as a ZIP archive — all pictures or only the guests' ones. The download link stays valid for six weeks.
Yes, via a link: have a ZIP archive packed on your stream's page and pass the link on. Anyone with the link can download the archive for six weeks.
Ready-made keepsakes from your pictures: a portrait-format reel for Instagram and TikTok, an aftermovie, and a photo book as a PDF for printing. Use all pictures or pick them yourself. Download the result or share it via a link — the films then play right in the browser.
For the livestream and the gallery we convert everything into web formats. We keep the unaltered original files only with the “Original files” add-on — book it before the celebration, as they can't be recovered afterwards.
365 days from purchase. After that it can no longer be reached and is permanently deleted after a grace period. So download your photos in good time.
Packages & payment
Trying it out is free: the free stream has every feature but room for only 25 photos. The packages differ mainly in the number of streams and devices and in features such as videos, the guest gallery and presentation mode. The wedding planner, guest list with seating plan, save the date and the bachelor/bachelorette party card are free for everyone. The current overview is on the pricing page.
Yes, via “Upgrade stream” on your stream's page. All photos are kept. You'll also find add-ons there, such as more storage or the original files.
Within the EU through Stripe, outside the EU through Paddle. The payment page shows which methods are available — such as card, SEPA direct debit, Apple Pay or PayPal. You enter your card details there; they never reach our server.
Yes, by email. You'll also find every invoice in your account under “Purchases”.
No, payment is made when you buy. If you'd rather not pay by card, SEPA direct debit is usually available within the EU.
Yes, within 14 days. If you have not yet used the stream for your celebration, we refund the full price. If you withdraw after the celebration, we keep the amount for providing the stream, shown separately at checkout, and the share of storage for the time already used — never more than you paid. We refund the rest. The easiest way is “Withdraw from contract” at the bottom of every page, but an email to info@weddingphotos.live is enough too. Details are in section 10 of the terms and conditions; the German version is binding.
Privacy & account
You as the stream's owner, the big screen — and guests only if the guest gallery is switched on. Other users of weddingphotos.live never see your stream.
The rights stay with whoever took the photo. By uploading, they allow you to use the pictures for your celebration, for a photo book for example. We receive no rights to the pictures whatsoever.
It is used only for the comparison and deleted immediately afterwards. It is not stored, not placed in the stream and not passed on.
Facial features are biometric data. Recognition therefore only starts once you explicitly confirm that you take responsibility — which includes the consent of the people pictured, for example via the invitation or a notice at the venue. If you delete a photo or the stream, its face data goes with it immediately.
We use it only to provide the service. It is passed on only to service providers we need for this, for example for hosting and payment. Twelve months after your last login — but no earlier than twelve months after your last stream expired — we delete your account; you receive two emails beforehand. Details are in the privacy policy.
Your email address.
Use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page. You'll get an email with a link that is valid for 24 hours.
No. We deliberately run the service independently of social networks.
In your account under “Delete account”. Your streams are permanently deleted along with all their photos, as are the wedding planner, guest list and save-the-date page. We keep invoices because of the statutory retention obligation.
