Sustainable
Our servers run on renewable electricity.

Storing and delivering photos costs energy, and a wedding piles up gigabytes quickly. The electricity for our servers comes from renewable sources.
On top of that comes what you do not see: for display we convert images into modern, far smaller formats. The same photo then needs a fraction of the data — faster on the screen, thriftier on your guests' mobile data, and less energy along the whole chain.
Even without disposable cameras, the photos still come together: guests simply use the mobile phones they’ve got with them anyway. There are no plastic casings, no batteries and no film that needs developing — and because everything runs in the browser, there’s no need for a hundred guests to download an app they’ll only need for one evening.
We don’t keep data lying around forever. Before your package expires, we’ll let you know in good time so you can download anything you want to keep. After a grace period, we delete the stream along with its photos and videos — storage that’s no longer needed no longer uses any electricity.

Common questions
Does the conversion cost image quality?
On the screen there is no visible difference; the formats are made for it. For printing, the option to keep the original files remains.
Can I still get the original files?
Yes, if the option is active before anything is uploaded.
How long are the photos stored for?
For as long as your package is valid. Before it ends, we’ll remind you by email; after a grace period, the stream is deleted.
Are videos also downsampled?
Yes. We convert videos into a modern, space-saving format so that they play smoothly on the big screen and on mobile phones without using up too much data.
